ECOSIL silicone rubber 20 kg + C-88 600 g
ECOSIL is a two-component material for making elastic models for casting objects from gypsum, epoxy, polyurethane, methacrylate, and
polyester resins, concrete, wax, low-melting metal alloys, and similar materials.
It cures with the addition of 3-5% catalyst C-88 The curing time is 8-12 hours. Final hardness is achieved after one day.
A larger amount of catalyst can significantly shorten the curing time, but it reduces flexibility and increases the hardness of the silicone rubber.
Advantages of silicone rubber include:
- minimal shrinkage during curing,
- ability to reproduce even the finest details,
- high elasticity and tear resistance
- easy to use
The liquid silicone rubber ECOSIL can be further thickened into a paste-like mass, which does not run on vertical surfaces, using TIXO THICKENER.
The Tixo thickener is mixed into the mixture after adding the catalyst and causes thickening within 20-30 seconds. The recommended amount is around 0.5 - 1 % of the total mixture. The addition of Tixo thickener does not significantly affect the curing speed of the silicone rubber.
